The plate armor was the best to me in my opinion because the plate armor was made with joints. The movement of the plate armor was just as easy. The armor could adjust and clamp on other armor for easy wear. On the hand, the chain mail wasn't as good because not just because the knight could move around easily, but because the mail was made out of interlocking chains that could be peirced by arrows. Also, the chain mail didn't offer complete protection.
The plate of looks like the better choice to me. I chose plate armor because it offers more protection then chain mail. Even though it might be heavy you can still be quick and agile.
